Glimmer Train is, after nearly three decades, pulling out of the station for good.

We will close to submissions at midnight, Pacific Daylight Time, on May 15, 2019.

We'll immerse ourselves in your stories until we've read them all.
Results of our Short Story Award for New Writers and the Family Matters contests
will be announced in our July 1, 2019 bulletin. After that we'll send out just one more bulletin on
October 4th with any last news, more essays on writing by writers, and we'll let you know when
the final issues of Glimmer Train Stories (Issue 106) and Writers Ask (Issue 85) will ship.

So many stories we've read since we started in 1990! A person might think they'd begin
to seem all the same, but that's never happened. Without fail, your stories have moved,
surprised, and changed us. It's been a great honor to read your work.
